People often ask what they should wear to a session. With the Sunflower Mini-Sessions happening super soon, I would like some advice for taking pictures in a sunflower field!

Be comfortable

Comfort is not just a suggestion; it's a must for any photo session and especially crucial for the Sunflower Mini-Sessions. Feeling physically comfortable in your clothes is key. When you're at ease and relaxed, it reflects in your photos. And remember, feeling good about how you look is equally important. So, wear clothes that make you feel great, and you'll radiate in your sunflower photos!

Wear neutrals or muted colors

Since sunflowers are so vibrant, wearing neutral colors helps you stand out in the photo. Bright clothing will fight for attention with the vibrant sunflowers, making the photos very visually loud. Wearing neutral or muted colors helps you stand out among the brightness! Black and white are great colors to wear to the Sunflower Mini-Sessions.

Jeans are always a hit

Jeans are a classic choice that you can’t go wrong with (unless you opt for vibrant jeans!). Classic blue, white, and black jeans are perfect for a session like this! They can be paired with almost anything, giving you a plethora of options for your outfit. Plus, they look fantastic in the sunflower fields. So, rest assured, jeans are a perfect choice for the Sunflower Mini-Sessions!

Good walking shoes

While good walking shoes are exactly the first choice when it comes to cute, photo-worthy shoes, remember, this is actually a farm. The terrain can be bumpy and tough to walk on without wearing good walking shoes. I highly recommend wearing, at a minimum, sneakers. I will personally be wearing hiking boots for ankle support. Besides the rough terrain, your shoes will definitely get dirty. You’ll be walking on dirt, so wear shoes you don’t mind getting a little dirty. White shoes, while cute, are not a good choice because they will get dirty quickly. If you don’t like your shoes in the photos, you can choose closer photos in the gallery! Or, if you know you want to keep your shoes out of pictures, let me know at the session, and I will take mostly photos excluding your shoes.
