My favorite photography event of the year is the annual Sunflower Festival Mini-Sessions at Coppal House Farm in Lee, NH! I get to meet so many great people, get to take lots of photos, and I get to enjoy the day!

This year, my dad came to help me out! I needed help with the little kids to get their attention during the session, so I brought my trusty orangutan puppet to help them look at the camera. As always, it helped make for some sweet photos! I’m so happy I was able to spend the day with my dad; it was so fun!

Before the mini-sessions, my dad and I got there a little early to scope out good photo spots. It’s a good thing we did because the sunflowers were in a different field than the last time I was there! They still had great spots, but I’m glad I came early to check out what would look best.

Andrés came a little before the mini-sessions, too! We decided to hold off on the photos because we were married pretty quickly after getting engaged, and I still couldn’t walk on my own. We are planning a huge “celebration” in December, so we needed to get nice photos for the invites and the wedding website! He came so we could take our “engagement” photos there. Dad did great in taking the pictures, and then I edited them. They came out amazing!

Throughout the day, I had all types of pairings for the mini-sessions. I had a couple celebrating 13 years of marriage, a parent-son duo, families with babies, and families with some older kiddos. All the sessions were awesome, and we got to use the sunflowers around us to capture some beautiful memories with a beautiful backdrop!

Not all the families wanted their photos posted online, so you won’t see those included, but you can see the highlights from the rest of the families below! Make sure to keep an eye out next summer for the annual Sunflower Festival mini-sessions!
